Material
Most of our products are made from plastic. As most of our products flash, they will contain electronic components and batteries inside, as well as some metal content. Jiggly light-up pens also have marabou feathers. All Twinklers pens include a swiss ball bearing ensure smooth writing. Price
Our pricing is quoted per piece in US Dollars based on FOB (Yantian) terms with a US$3,000 minimum order. As we are a licensee for the branded Disney and SpongeBob SquarePants products, our prices include royalties, which we pay in advance to the master licensor. Samples
Need samples? We are pleased to provide samples up to US$250 in value free of charge from our China factory. We will send samples to your Hong Kong or China agent free of charge, or to any other destination worldwide if you provide your courier details in order to cover the cost of delivery. Simply fill out the sample order form and provide courier details (Fed Ex, DHL, UPS, etc.). |
Market [Where are Twinklers products sold?]
Twinklers products are sold in a variety of markets, from mass market retailers to independent retailers. Supermarkets, drug stores, department stores, toy stores, as well as distributors, licensees, and importers worldwide all make up Twinklers customer base.

Tool Making
We mould all the plastic and rubber components used in the production of our products in-house. Our factory’s tool making facility employs the latest technology in the preparation of bespoke tooling for our own products as well as customer designed products for our customers. Our tooling cost for a custom designed bespoke shape is US$1,200 per tool. Though there is no minimum order for tool making, our standard rule for custom designed products is 10,000 pcs. |
Custom Designed Products
Most of our products are suitable for customising into your own branded or licensed lines. Our minimum order starts at 10,000 pcs. Usually this involves changing the decorated shapes, such as pen tops. A popular choice is to simply use existing designs and have us print your logo or design using technologies such as pad printing, screen printing, or heat transfer. Our products have been used with many famous licensed characters, including Spider Man, Hello Kitty, Funky Friends, and Dora the Explorer. Contact our sales team for more details.

Batteries
All our products come with free pre-built 3 volt batteries inside, usually button cells type 1A or 3A. All batteries comply with EU and US safety standards; mercury-free batteries can be supplied upon request. Batteries are non-replaceable in order for the product to comply with certain safety regulations on small parts. Read more on battery life. |
Are batteries replaceable?
No, batteries are built-in inside the product and there is no access to them unless the unit is destroyed. Why? This is done with safety in mind. Where are the products made?
Twinklers products are made in our own production facilities, which include three factories in Shenzhen, China. Plastic, rubber, and microelectronic components are made in-house, while other components are out source to quality-approved factories. Final assembly is in-house at our facilities. |
How long do Twinklers flash?
Items that flash and have an on-off switch flash for approximately 48 hours continuously. Products with a light-up function, such as the pens or shot glasses, work up to approximately 1,000 activations. When not in use, batteries are known to work even after two years. How do products function?
All products are easy to activate and come with multilingual usage instructions on the packaging. Typically, you simply use the product, such as a pen, to activate it. Alternatively, if the product has a visible on-off switch on the unit, then use the switch. Packaging Options
There are at least three different standardised packaging (display) options for each product. Packaging is designed for easy placement in very small spaces, such as countertops, shelves, or suspended from a wall. Find out more in display unit. Packing Details

Display Unit
A display unit is provided free of charge with each item. We also have many packaging options so that you can choose which one best suits your needs. Products are pre-loaded on the display you will receive; simply remove the display unit from the carton and place it on the countertop. No assembly is required. Many displays come with a free flashing unit to increase consumer awareness even further and make the products stand out in busy retail space. Usually these are made from cardboard or plastic. Barcode Details
All products have a UPC barcode as standard on individual packaging. Using your own barcode in any format on our products is possible upon request and is free of charge. Inner and outer cartons are not automatically barcoded. However, if this is required and requested, then we have standard barcodes to be used, or we can use yours.

CE Marking
The packaging of each individual product has a CE mark printed on, measuring at least 5mm as required by law and in order to comply with the European EN47088 (Electrical Toy Safety) safety standard. |
Green Dot License
Twinklers are registered with Duales System Deutschland and we can legally display a Green Dot symbol on our items. Our registration number is 5253320.

Multilingual Usage Instruction
All individual product packaging has multilingual usage instructions in English, German, French and Spanish. The main packaging and display unit, excluding the usage instructions, comes in English as standard. Other languages are available but a minimum order of 10,000 pcs per item is required. |
Other Language Usage Instructions
Upon request and from a minimum order of 10,000 pcs per item, our products can be supplied in custom packaging in your own language, or simply to include instructions. Please supply your text and we will send you the artwork for approval. For quantities below our minimum there is a one-off US$300 service charge for each order.

Customised Packaging
Upon request, products can be packed in packaging containing your own artwork. If the language version simply needs to be changed to your preferred language, we will create the artwork free of charge. If the design requires changing, please send us your artwork. From 10,000 pcs minimum order, customised packaging for our products is done free of charge. Otherwise, there is a US$300 service charge per product per order. |
Own Artwork
If you want to use your own artwork, it’s no problem! Simply supply your artwork. Read more on our terms in customised packaging. Send us your artwork on a CD or by e-mail in a PDF or Adobe Illustrator format.

Labeling Regulations
All our products are labeled correctly as required by the EU and US regulations, and include a CE mark, Green Dot symbol, multilingual usage instructions, UPC barcode, and our contact details (supplier details) as necessary. If you have any labeling requirements specific to the territory in which you operate, then simply contact us to discuss, as we will certainly be able to assist you with this. |
Flashing Display Unit
Many displays come with a free flashing header unit, which is battery operated. Our most popular item, the Jiggly Light-up Pen, for instance, is equipped with a light-sensor so that the unit lights up by itself when the lights are on and automatically stops when it is dark. The flashing unit is designed to last up to three weeks, so in most cases the products will be sold out even before the batteries run out. Read more on packaging options and display unit.

Where is our factory based at what is its size?
Our factories are based in Shenzhen, China and occupy over 14,000m2 of production area. Twinklers employs over 1,000 workers in these facilities. |

Our tightly controlled assembly lines are constantly monitored so that we attain top levels of efficiency. We always maintain a high standard of workmanship at our facilities. With a defective rate of under 0.5%, we pride ourselves on being the most quality controlled manufacturer in the whole of the microelectronic industry worldwide. For quality assurance, our factories are regularly audited by and adhere to the stringent requirements set by Wal*Mart Global Procurement and Hallmark Cards.

RoHS
The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This directive will ban the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants from 1 July 2006. Our products and components comply with the RoHS Directive.

As a minimum, all of our products comply with the European EN71 Part 1, 2, and 3. EN71 Part 1 refers to mechanical and physical properties. EN71 Part 2 refers to flammability. Shipping Terms
Our shipping terms are FOB (Yantian) for sea freight shipments. We ship out of Yantian Port in the city of Shenzhen in China. For airfreight shipments, we ship FOB (Shenzhen), out of Shenzhen Airport. Upon request, we can arrange to ship from Hong Kong or other ports within the Guangzhou Province of China, typically with a charge of 5% on top of our prices. |

Shipping Port
When goods are required to be shipped by sea, we ship from Yantian port in Shenzhen, China. When goods are required to be shipped by air, we ship from Shenzhen Airport, China. Shipping Marks

Carton Labeling
All inner and outer cartons have a well-designed white label containing the product name, quantities inside, list of safety standards the product complies with, our Twinklers logo, product code, and, upon request, a barcode (UPS - unique barcodes available for inner and outer cartons). Upon request, your goods can have carton labeling unique to your business. Simply provide the artwork or guidelines.

How are products packed?
Products are pre-assembled on a display unit. Each display unit is packed in its own inner carton, correctly labeled. Depending on the size of the product, approximately 6, 12, or 24 inner cartons are packed into an outer carton. See shipping marks.
